We will be acknowledging Guy Fawkes night, making firework pictures and talking about how we will be celebrating at home. We will also be observing Remembrance Day with a minute’s silence, talking about its importance and the activities that usually happen on Remembrance Sunday. We will also be making our own poppy field. We will be telling the story of Sita and Rama as we learn about Diwali, the Festival of Light, and will be making tea light holders. You may wish to help your child to explore this curriculum focus at home or when you are out and about. Our suggested activity is: Talk about what you are doing to celebrate all or any of these occasions. Tell the stories of the history of these occasions.
