Curriculum Focus: LITERACY: READING

We will follow our curriculum focus by: Going on a bear hunt. We will be using the story to encourage the children to join in with the repetitive parts of the story. We will be talking about the characters, the setting of the story, what happens next and what might happen at the end. We will be ‘bear hunting’ in the classroom, in the garden and over the school field. You may wish to help your child to explore this curriculum focus at home or when you are out and about. Our suggested activity is: Can you find a certain shape or colour object? Share stories and talk about everything you see. Where is the story taking place? What are the people like in the story? Can you point things out when asked? What might happen next? Can you remember what happened?
