Christmas Nativity and Raffle

The children are enjoying practising the songs for the Christmas Nativity on Monday 16th December. Please bring your child into pre-school for registration as normal at 9:00 am. The nativity will start at 9:45 am in the primary academy hall but you may go straight there from dropping your child off if you so wish. A letter has been sent out asking for donations for the Christmas raffle which will be held after the nativity. A box for your donation is by the signing-in sheet. Thank you for your support and for those of you who have already donated!

Christmas Party

Our Christmas Party will be held on the last day of term – Wednesday 18th December starting at 9:00 am. All children are welcome. An entertainer has been booked and Santa will be in his grotto. Please collect your child from 11:30 am onwards so that you can take them to visit Santa before going home at 12:00 noon.

WOW of the Month

The children love to share and celebrate their achievements and learning with their friends and staff at pre-school. This is shared as a group activity before the children go home at 12 noon and 3.00 pm. The apple is then placed on our WOW Tree on the classroom wall for the month. At the end of the month, we will be awarding a 'WOW of the Month'. The winner will receive a prize and a certificate. Please write on the apple anything which your child has learnt or achieved. This may be linked to their Next Steps or anything which you feel is worthy of recognition! Please help yourself to apples which will be with the signing-in sheet. There is a golden apple by the signing-in sheet for the children to post their WOW apples. Please write your child's name on the apple. We hope that you and your child will enjoy sharing with us their achievements and learning.

Being Healthy

In line with our Food and Drink Policy, we promote healthy eating and regard snack and mealtimes as an important part of our day. Eating represents a social time for children and adults and helps children to learn about healthy eating. As part of Holly’s Level 4 Certificate, she has become the pre-school’s PANCo (Physical Activity and Nutrition Coordinator). Holly has displayed lots of useful information on our blue parent notice board. She has also sent out information to give suggestions on providing a healthy lunch at pre-school. Every month, together with our Newsletter, Holly will choose a topic or activity to help keep your children healthy.
